66 charger pics

Ok, so to those who like to encourage mu hubby and you know who you are....  here are some photos of the new arrival:

Here is the engine compartment with and without the air cleaner.

As you can see, it has an Edelbrock 4 barrel carb on it and seems to be in good working order.

Here is a nice shot of the front grill with lights off, I am hoping to get a good shot with lights on (doors up) and the super cool interior lights.  The new camera should me achieve this...  All photos in this post were taken with my super AWESOME Canon Rebel T3i that Joe got me for my cancer free anniversary.  He's so awesome, when not bringing strays home!!  LOL

Most of you have seen the pictures of the passenger side but here are both driver and passenger side, they are not dented or trashed in any way; although I have not gotten on the ground to check the quarters...

Unfortunately, I am not able to share photos of the 65 Fury that is under construction, Joe has those pictures on his phone.  He usually stops at the body shop on the way home from work and I'm not with him with my cameras ready.  He says he will send the photos so I can add them to the blog...  we will see....

Hubby strikes again!

So yesterday at work, I email hubby and say, I'm making a grocery list, what do you need at the store?  He slips in the list a 1966 Dodge Charger among the "bread" and "milk"...  *sigh* several emails later and I find out he had located a 66 Charger that he'd already contacted the owners and he is going to look at it tomorrow (which is today)...  Needless to say....

So we have yet another Dodge....  She is pretty solid, the paint is awful, but our suspicion is it was a quickie red spray over the old color.  The color is buckled and chipping, but I don't see a whole lot of rust, unlike my Coronet, which is a rust bucket!!!  LOL!!

Joe's been itching to drive a muscle car to the local shows and swap meets, since progress on the Fury is slow at best and the Coronet won't be road worthy for a couple years.  Yep, I said years....

Now we have a car to tool about in, while waiting for the show cars to get finished.

I'm BACK!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and is enjoying the start of the New Year!!!

We had put a slight hold on deconstruction of the Coronet due to busy holidays, and scouting parts for the Hubby's Fury, so hopefully one car would be completed to take to shows.  Alas, no deck lid to be found...  yet...

Anyway I had my 10 year party for being Breast Cancer free and would like to thank everyone who made the day very very special for me.

Hubby was amazing and really helped whip the house into shape.  Not that it was trashed to start with but the kittens seems to find every bit of dust of dirt on the patio and drag it into the house!!  Have to say, it looked great!!!!

I would especially like to call out the Cake Geek of Valrico FL, who took on the challenge of making me an "Iron throne" cake from the Game Of Thrones series (books and TV) and did a spectacular job.  I was beautiful, judge for yourself:

And my in-laws surprised me with an engine stand!!!  YAY!!!  We can FINALLY move forward with swapping out engines and starting the rebuild of my 6.1L Hemi now that I have somewhere to correctly work on it.  Was an ENORMOUS box and I was completely shocked!

And to my wonderful Joe, thank you so much for all that you do and being simply you.  I love you so much!!! He got me a wonderful digital camera, Canon Rebel T3i to replace my old film camera.  Can't beat the pictures of the old film camera, but after the trip to New Orleans, and the hassle of trying to get the film developed I had started to search for a digital.  I have a point and shoot Canon Elph, but find that the digital zoom on that makes a terrible grainy image; And sometimes I like to be "artsy" with my photos and the point and shoot does "like" what I have in the viewfinder....  Anyway....

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!!!
